1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what information Weekplate uses and why. It applies to the iOS app and this website. We keep this notice reasonably detailed so you can make an informed choice, without publishing internal systems or vendor lists beyond what you need to know.
2. Information we use
Depending on how you use Weekplate, this may include: account identifiers (such as a sign-in ID from Apple or email); profile answers you enter (store, budget, diet preferences, household size, kitchen equipment, foods you love or avoid); meal photos and nutrition results; your weekly meal selections, grocery lists, and custom grocery items; app usage needed to operate plans and your account; and purchase status from Apple via our subscription provider.
3. How we use it
We use this information to provide the app, sync your recipe catalog, save your meal plan and grocery list, analyze meals when you choose to log them, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, fix problems, and understand in general how the product is used.
4. Photos
Meal photos you choose to log are sent to our servers so we can estimate nutrition. Recipe images in the app may be generated or licensed by us. Do not upload photos of other people if you do not have their permission.
5. Sharing
We share information with companies that help us run Weekplate (hosting, analysis, subscriptions, and crash or performance monitoring). They may only use it for those purposes under their own terms. We may also share information if the law requires it, or if we sell or transfer the product as a business.
6. Retention
We keep account and log data while your account is open and for a reasonable period afterward so we can operate the service, handle disputes, and meet legal duties. You can delete your account in the app, which removes local data on that device and requests deletion of the account we control.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Children
Weekplate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. International use
The app may be used from the United Arab Emirates and other countries. Information may be processed in the country where you use the app and in other countries where our providers operate.
10. Your choices
You can edit profile answers in the app, manage subscriptions in the App Store, and email us to ask questions about your information.
